"You think that knowledge is a flower for you to pick?
It is a Mountain and it must be climbed!" |
The Fist of Hua, or Hua fist Kung-fu is seperated into 4 seperate roads and two sets of two person Hua fist fighting sets. The "Roads of Hua" become progressively harder and more advanced with each new road. For like long windy roads on a desolate mountain top, some roads are harder to traverse than others. And just as there are generally no short roads that lead to the peak of a mountain top neither are there any short roads in the 4 Roads of the legendary Hua fist forms.
The pictures on this page are from the First Road of Hua. While this is considered by most as the beggining form and the easiest of the Hua fist sets it is still by far not a begginers form. It is filled with intricate moves, sneaky attacks, and unique movements. The form itself is quite lengthy and cardiovascularly demanding . For no matter how gradual the climb, a mountain road is always a tiring, arduous journey non the less.
At the Chinese Shaolin Centers for Martial Arts, the Hua fist is generally taught to Second Degree Black Belts and above. All Four Roads of Hua are part of the required testing material to go from Third to Fourth Degree Black Belt.
